Story
Hi there!
Ethan, Charlotte and I are committing to being active during May as part of Run4Blue to raise much needed (and appreciated) funds for SA Police Legacy Inc, an amazing cause that's close to my heart. Police Legacy doesn't only support families of police officers who have died, but also police officers facing significant health challenges and illness.
The kids and I decided instead of logging kms this year, we are going to do 2021 minutes of exercise this month. 2021 represents the year our lives changed drastically when Russ died and we became a part of the Police Legacy family. I am so grateful to the support Policy Legacy has provided us, but more importantly the strong friendships and bonds I have formed with other young legatee families.
Mental Illness is a very real thing and impacts many people and families. By us committing to activity this month, we are positively impacting physical and psychological health and wellbeing and also using the time to be together and do fun things. There are days when life is hard and it is a struggle to do anything but just survive and get through the day. But activity encourages movement, socalisation and conversations so even a little bit can make a lot of difference.

SA Police Legacy Inc
SA Police Legacy is a charitable organisation that provides financial and emotional support to SA Police officers and their families during times of serious illness and bereavement. SA Police Legacy also takes care and pride in remembering police officers who have passed away, on and off duty. The Honour Roll and our Reflection Bench at Bonython Park are just some of the ways we remember them. Independent to South Australia Police, SA Police Legacy has been operational since 1989 and has paid over $2.3 million in financial support to police families since its inception.
