Story
Hey!
This year I've decided to help fundraise for RUN4BLUE in honour of the beautiful Brad Hardy. On March 6th 2021 we lost the most beautiful, caring, generous, cheeky but loving person I've ever had the honour of being friends with. I had the pleasure of watching Brad go from college into labouring before he was accepted into the AFP. I saw how happy he was to be doing what he loved and how excited he was, It was a very rare occasion to see him in his uniform but he always looked his best and you would always be able to tell when he would be on holidays as he would try to grow his "mo". He often would tell us about things that had happened in Alice or send photos of some beautiful areas he'd found off road. He loved his job so much.
I think Brad would have loved his funeral and how the AFP Legacy handled everything with the upmost respect and honour. It truly has been amazing to see how within the AFP have come together and helped one another, the support they've given has been outstanding.
I'd love to help give back and support anyone else going through the loss and heartbreak we have all been though over the last 12 months. Any donation big or small would be truly appreciated.

Australian Federal Police Legacy Inc (AFP Legacy)
Australian Federal Police Legacy was set up to provide support including financial assistance to the families of AFP members. Should a current member, either sworn or unsworn, pass away on or off duty, whatever the circumstances (accident, injury or illness), sudden or diagnosed, then support will be offered. This support also extends in the instance where a partner of a current AFP member passes. AFP Legacy's purpose is to support the police family and to perpetuate the memory of those fallen AFP members.The AFP Legacy Board of Management comprises of a team of dedicated AFP employees who volunteer their time and represent a broad cross-section of the policing community. AFP Legacy is governed by a constitution and guidelines and is an Incorporated Association in the ACT.As a not-for-profit organisation, AFP Legacy relies on the generosity of payroll deductions, sponsors, fundraising and the sale of merchandise.With support received, AFP Legacy aims to continually improve in order to the meet the needs of the families being supported.
